Rallying for our Brothers
As you may have seen in your shul recently, NCSY has rolled out a brand new project. We created bookmark cards (to be kept in one’s siddur) with a special prayer to say for our brothers who were tragically captured this summer and have yet to return home. At the NCSY office we racked our brains for some time to develop a means for our community to remain focused on these boys’ plight and help free them. Rallies have been held around the world to cry out against this injustice and we figured that we could help the Jewish world have a rally in shomayim by giving out these cards to remind people to pray for these boys every day.
I had a very special moment the other day when I saw a six year old clutching one of the cards at shul. I asked the boy if he knew what the card was for. He responded that the “bad guys” had taken these soliders away and that he was going to ask Hashem for them back. I’m sure Hashem will listen to this six year old malach.
