Being an NCSY alumnus I still enjoy answering the Big Questions, but I cant win anything.  I am still an NCSYer at heart.  I think we should also have Big Questions for the alumni to win prizes from.

The whole point of ncsy is for the specific age group....I know it sucks to let go of it but unless you become an advisor theres nothing much else you can do. There are other organizations that deal with university students etc.

Poll or no poll, it’s not really up for a vote. It’s my call and I say no. If that makes me a “big meanie,” then I guess I’m a big meanie!

Why don’t you go bug Rabbi Dave? He’s the alumni guy!

Eric-some of us don’t ever want to grow up.  Yah it’s cool being older, but there are so many more responsibilities.  I dont miss high school but I miss NCSY.
Jack-I don’t know Rabbi Dave.  Anyways if you have noticed on the last Big Question many NCSY alumni answered the question.  If no NCSYer gets the question right and an alumnus does, does that mean that the alumnus gets to prize?
Rabbi Dave-how about big questions for us alumni?

Eric, as to the point that you have to let go blah blah blah… im going to remind you that you will probably want to do stuff this summer with ncsy even tho you TECHNICALLY will have graduated… and maybe even next year.

The summer isn’t the problem...I can go on that its next year after the summer. I realise that I can’t go on any more shabbatons except for maybe advising Junior’s and I accept that. I will most likely join some other group such as hillel.

In response to “Jewish“‘s first comment:  I know who you are Eric and I can;t believe you would say that because I know that the moment we you are out on NCSY you will be so sad, you will just wish that you could have one more Shabbaton, one more drop in, one more anything NCSY, just one more time.  All the memories you made, and friends… letting go is one of the hardest things to do, and I can guarentee it wont be easy for anyone, including you!  So I say let the Alumni have their chance to be an NCSYer again!  I know that when I’m not a NCSYer anymore, I’ll still want to be part of it in any way I can!

You guys obviously don’t know me well enough then...yes I will miss NCSY but I am perfectly able to move on. I definitely won’t cry...I haven’t cried since my great-grandfather died and that must have been 8 years ago. NCSY is like an addiction...it absorbs you when you become really involved but once there is no more chance for you to take the “drug” then you will eventually give up. Yes, you may miss it but there is nothing you can do about it. If you guys want to talk about in person I would discuss it if you want.
