Pay It Forward

There are so many things I could write about this issue.  I lost two of my dearest life long friends who group up in NCSY with me in Seaboard (Hirsch Ribakow and Beth Silber Koesterich).  Two of my closest NCSY’ers are engaged (Tzivia Arnow and Rachel Howitt).  Yet what is on my mind are the dozens of alumni who have recently lost their jobs and the hundreds about to.  Here is a very simple thing you can start doing today to help them.

In NCSY we relied on our advisors and peers to help us make some of the most important decisions in our lives.  We in turn “Paid it forward” and helped our NCSY’ers and peers.  It is time to do so again!  Ask everyone you know - what jobs do you know about?!  Network with those who have businesses or work in large firms.  The jobs don’t have to be glamerous to be a lifesaver!

Please forward whatever jobs you find so that we have so many I’ll need to devote a special extra issue to that alone.

Thank you to Bobbie Lanner for introducing me to Jennifer Proper of Project Ezra who provide the resource links below:

Have an awesome Shabbos,

Rabbi Dave Felsenthal

  1. Dear Rabbi Dave,
Your articles are always interesting, but this one was particularly so.
What a wonderful way for grateful alumni to “pay it forward” and help one another. Thanks for always coming up with new ideas and
for keeping the wonderful “flame” alive.

  2. you can find out if you will need an umbrella today and what type of weather to expect in your area. Sounds easy enough and it really is! You type in your zip code to find out what the weather is like and you can enter your cell phone number and provider to get a simple text message each day about the weather.  Better yet you can determine what time you would like to receive the text message. Obviously not everyone is a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. person, so this is a way to determine what’s going on outside without watching the news every day so that you are prepared. This is a website to pass along to friends and family.  who is a married working mother of a very energetic 6 year old son. They recently moved out in the country and live on a rock road. Emily had to give up high-speed internet and she blames the realtor for not informing her ahead of time that it was not available. She writes at her personal blog, Fenicle and loves to review new things.

  4. According to my monitoring, millions of people all over the world receive the mortgage loans from different creditors. Thence, there is a good chance to find a short term loan in any country.
