Are you David Felsenthal's son?
Recently I was on the bus home from New York City to Passaic (not quite Israel yet) and there were no seats. A young yeshiva bochur stood up and gave me his seat and I was very greatful (a sign of aging gracefully;). I ended up sitting next to another fellow NCSY alumnus and we started shmoozing about the Alumni newsletter. I told him I had a great Nachas story to share.
I told him how this past summer an older man was looking for a seat at a sporting event between camp Heller and camp Munk. A young bochur got up to giver him his seat. Immediately one of the division heads, Rabbi Dovid Silverman came over to him and congratulated him on his act of chesed. He asked the boy’s name and the boy said Tzvi Felsenthal. Tzvi Felsenthal, are you David Felsenthal’s son? Yes. Wow, I used to learn with your Dad when he came to Ner Israel for chavrusas after his day at public school… Needless to say, not only did Dovid call me to tell me this personally as well as my son but at least 6 other people told me they heard this from Dovid as well!! When i finished the story I turned to the bochur who had given me his seat and asked his name. He said Avrom (I hope I remembered the right first name) Coleman. Are you Ron Coleman’s kid? ... What a beautiful world we live in when we keep our eyes open!!!!
Have an awesome New Year,
Rabbi Dave
